Our beginnings were humble, grounded in a strong dedication to both our customers and suppliers. Over the years, our commitment has transformed Canadian Shade into a recognizable brand across Ontario and beyond. We've not only expanded our product line to represent half a dozen Canadian manufacturers but have also broadened our reach to sell across Canada. Our growth has been fueled by our relentless pursuit of excellence and an unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations.

Early on, we recognized the importance of giving back, leading us to launch charity initiatives that reach out and make a difference in the communities we serve. In the heart of a particularly challenging summer, marked by the global upheaval of COVID-19 and its ripple effects on supply chains and businesses, Canadian Shade was approached by a customer with a request that would deeply resonate with our team and underscore our commitment to going above and beyond for our clients.
The customer, Mrs. Thompson, reached out with a sense of urgency and hope. She shared a heartrending story about her husband, Mr. Thompson, who was in the final stages of battling cancer. His condition had reached a point where enjoying the outdoors, something he deeply loved, became nearly impossible due to his sensitivity to sunlight—a side effect of his treatments. Understanding the gravity of the request and the tight timeline, our team sprang into action. Despite the ongoing pandemic, which had extended lead times for awnings to three months due to disruptions in manufacturing and supply chains, we knew we had to make the impossible possible for the Thompson family.
We reached out to our manufacturing partners, sharing the Thompsons' story and the urgency of the situation. Moved by their plight, our factories agreed to prioritize the production of the Thompsons' awning. Our team worked around the clock, coordinating logistics, installation schedules, and ensuring that all safety protocols were strictly adhered to, given the added risks posed by Mr. Thompson's compromised immune system.
In an extraordinary display of teamwork, compassion, and determination, we managed to have the awning manufactured, delivered, and installed in just four days—a feat unheard of, especially during such tumultuous times.
